Android Developer - IoT

Our client is an innovative IoT (Internet of Things) company that has built Bluetooth based Trackable for consumers and enterprises. We’re quickly expanding into cellular based Trackable that leverage the new LTE-M and NB-IoT cellular networks designed specifically for the IoT use case. We are at a pivotal point in our business and are looking for experienced and passionate individuals that will help bring our new products to market.

Their Android codebase uses 100% Kotlin as well as well known libraries such as RxJava, Room, Retrofit, Google’s Arch Components (ViewModel / LiveData / Navigation Component).

General Requirements
- Excellent understanding of software development practices in general
- Good understanding of Computer Science concepts and algorithms
- Experience building maintainable Android codebases applying architecture concepts
- Passion for learning
- Product mentality (be able to have ownership of the entire product and process)
- Great communication skills
- Good written and spoken English
- Bachelor degree in Computer Science (or related subjects)
- 3+ years of Android development
- Have published at least one original Android app
- Experience with Android SDK
- Experience with Java &/ Kotlin
- Experience with Bluetooth integration
- Experience with third-party libraries and APIs
